“First Shayna was quick to respond and so we choose to stay a night on our way from the Caribbean side to the Pacific side. We arrived at Vista de Paz late afternoon and were greeted by a very nice gentleman, Guillermo. He showed us around the home and then the grounds. Before leaving for the evening made sure we had a fire going and we had enough firewood. Due to all the traveling I had requested a cook for the evening. Carman arrived and prepared a wonderful dinner prepared from produce from……

“Location to the national park and town are both within 10 minutes. The room started leaking water from the roof on the second night and right onto the bed.”

“Comfortable room with private bath, and we enjoyed sitting in the porch area and visiting with Katty & family. Close enough to everything to walk but far enough back to be peaceful. We went on the night hike and canoe tours with P&K Tours, and it was convenient to start at thr same place instead of meetinf up in the village or at the dock. This was the highlight of our trip through Central America.”

“The host was wonderful and even brought us a fruit welcome. The home is great and bedrooms are set to either side of spacious common area, full kitchen, and an amazing deck that looks out over the town and volcano. We had an incredible stay!”

“The property is appointed nicely with all of its furnishings and decor. Very comfortable. No issues whatsoever except that my gps thought it was on the other side of the street....LOL...but once I figured that out it was a breeze - and certainly not the property owners fault.”

“Wow, what an incredible slice of heaven. Feels like you’re a million miles away from civilization. Waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning, dinner with Gregory (host) and sitting on the porch in the evening were highlights of the stay. It’s a commitment to get up and down the road and 4wd is essential. As such I’d recommend staying at least 2 nights w/o going down. Hosts offers horseback rides and guided hikes around the property. “The apartment is great and had everything we needed! The decor is very nice as well and I love the nice touches of art/style throughout the apartment and the grounds and pool. There are 2 apartments that are attached to one another but there is some clear separation so unless you’re outside using the pool, there really isn’t much issue with privacy. “This home is gorgeous! The kitchen has all the plates, pots, pans, accessories we needed for the final stop in our 10 day trip to Costa Rica. Truly, we were exhausted by the time we arrived to this property, so we only left once for a trip to the botanical garden but it was the perfect way to recharge before we flew home.
