“We had a three day stay at Lumina Valley View Monteverde in April 2025. The house is very spacious, modern and comfortable. It has an amazing gourmet kitchen (love the waterfall style granite countertop!) and a great view with a lovely, vibrant orange sunset. Lovely furnishings and decor. Also ample hot water, AC and strong Wifi. Note that this location is a little far out so not walkable to any amenities. Our host Glenda, who is a native of Monteverde, was amazing. “We liked our stay at the Arenal Montechiari Hotel. It was different from a usual hotel because of the small, individual houses. Positive things about the houses are ...they have air conditioning, are clean, have a room safe for valuables, have a TV, and the breakfast is adequate. Every unit has a small porch with two chairs on it. The price for staying there is very reasonable, and the grounds are pretty with flowers. The staff was friendly and helpful. Negative things are... the small houses……

“Unique place to stay, sensational uninterrupted views over Lake Arenal. Wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the trees outside and sit on your deck in the evening watching flocks of parrots. We stayed in Pod 1 - recommend as has trees closest so you can see the birds right next to you. Amazing hosts Ana and Bastien, immaculate cleaning and care and attention to your guest experience is evident in all the thoughtful touches. “Quiet, beautiful family owned property. The breakfast is amazing and surrounded by toucans and parrots along with hummingbirds and other wildlife. Clean rooms with warm showers. Very close to many great food options if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. The family is very kind. ”

“Nice hotel with good breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Quiet, neighborhood area with views of the lake, volcano and mountains. We went for a walk and it's very close to the Butterfly Conservatory and a local restaurant. About a 30 min drive from the La Fortuna town center.”
