“This is the perfect getaway place, right on the Mendocino Art Center campus with gardens around. The space is a good size, nicely furnished, and check-in and check-out are as easy as could be.”

“Almost impossible to locate initially. The directions were way too complicated, though I understood them after we got there. GPS took us one way. Directions to us another way. The strip of studios was hidden in plain sight. Plus, not the property’s fault: A huge event was being set up in the lawn right outside our property so parking was virtually impossible. There were no photographs of the outside of the property on the VRBO site, so we had no clue what we were looking for. Garden studio?……

“We had such a lovely time in this unique vacation rental! Staying in the old lighthouse was very charming and access to the roof with views was perfect for a morning cup of coffee. “The Mendocino art center is wonderful. We loved being in town and so near the ocean. We loved our little apartment. The only thing I would request is that the outdoor lights are super bright, for them to be turned off at night. They’re not gentle lights. They are very bright, LED blue lights. Even though we had curtains, the lights came in from all around and made the room pretty bright at night. We stayed for two nights, and both mornings around 5:00 AM, somebody banged around in the shed below……
