“Great place with friendly staff, we really enjoyed our visit. Given it is a bit out of the way from the city center and hard to find, the price is a bit on the higher side. Breakfast was delicious, however it would have been nice if there was a healthier savory option.”

“Morris - front desk agent - was so nice and helpful. When I told him our room smelled like cigs he moved us to an upgrade. Very helpful! I also loved the pillows and bed. I didn’t like cleaning fluid smell and dispite loving service will pay a little more next time for better place. ”

“We stayed for one night to watch our niece graduate from Virginia Tech, and were so happy to pay for an early check in and drop our bags. Our check in was smooth and all staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. After the graduation and celebration we came back to our room about 12:30 am and were locked out of our room! My key worked, but the bar that blocks the door from the inside was engaged. “Very cool hotel. It is for people that do not need a concierge. There is no cable tv.. only Roku. Super comfy bed with plenty of pillows! Snacks, ice & drinks are provided free of charge in the main meeting room. Also, parking is next door in a garage. $8 is the maximum for a day. We would definitely stay here again. Berglund Center is just minutes away. One more thing, the downtown is more like a Richmond or Baltimore downtown. Not a cozy hometown feeling but I felt safe. ”

“The hotel was amazing. There was a small situation where we were told the mothers day breakfast was free but it wasn't. At first security was called instead of the manager but eventually they cleared it up and everything was fine. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a nice stay. The bar staff was very friendly ”

“It was excellent except for the fact that I reserved a room with sofa bed and it wasn’t available that would’ve been fine if we weren’t here to pick up our son . It wasn’t the best sleeping situation. Overall it really is a nice place to stay.”
