“East of the sun was an older property but was clean with a friendly staff. They took care of things when needed in a timely manner. There was quite a bit of dog poop in the back yard some fresh and some older. It was a short walk to the beach and they did supply a wagon, boogy boards, and chairs. ”

“Beautiful beach home within walking distance to the beach and the sound. Elevator was much appreciated in moving suitcases and coolers to upper levels. We booked this home the night before as our other booking fell through. Appreciated the owners getting us all the required info so quickly and working with us to get our tired toddler in a little earlier. ”

“What a wonderful stay! It was questionable whether we’d in fact be able to come, and Carolyn worked with us through the uncertainty with empathy and no pressure. The suite was dreamy- totally my dream style, so beachy and homey. They thought of tons of extras, including aloe, which unfortunately we had to use. But we’re so grateful. The bed was super comfy and really high, which felt super fancy but also something to note if you have trouble getting into high beds. Carolyn checked on us……

“To be clear this 3 star rating has nothing to do with my No Regrets rental property. The reason I can only give 3 stars is bc the day before the trip I got a call saying that we couldn't stay at the place that I actually booked. I had to choose between three other places, none of which was at Emerald Isle that I made my booking at. My stay was relocated to Atlantic Beach instead and included a much longer walk to the beach, approximately 7-8 min walk vs 3 min walk. My son and I are luckily in……

“Nice hosting couple. Nice home & neighborhood. Close to beach. Pet friendly and allowed my dogs to be in a fenced in backyard. Provision of great parking place for my car. Well equipped kitchen. Clean and organized areas to live in. Hot water heater working well. Hosts made offer for me to sit with them on beach. They provided beach chairs. Nice, clean and safe pathways to beach from house. Neighborhood gave a nice reflection on the rest of Emerald Isle”
