“Such a secluded cute place. Lake is a 5 min hike more than a walk but easily done. Felt great being alone on the property and the lake. Bugs were really bag but to be expected as a heavily wooded area.”

The property was exactly as described on the listing. Nicole was very quick with answers about the property and her instructions were complete and uncomplicated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. “5 of us stayed at the house and it was a great choice to book here. Check in was easy, the house had plenty of space for us to all sit at the table or in the lounge room. The kitchen had most everything needed (measuring cups would be my suggestion). Everything was very clean, bathrooms were well stocked. No complaints at all. Loved the fire pit even though it rained. I will let anyone know that the single beds are not really appropriate for tall people. We had a few feet hanging over the end of……

“We loved our stay at Methven Cottage. The property is beautiful and stacked with stuff to do everything you could want to do on a wonderful vacation. While it did get very uncomfortable due to the heat, that is to be expected in an older property without air conditioning. The owners were also very accomodating and even sent up a plumber to deal with out kitchen sink problem. They were incredibly helpful to our joyous experience.”

“The house itself was beautiful, clean, large enough for 4 adults and 4 children. The description on the listing though, is a little off. It doesn’t have year round views of a lake and I would not say this property is waterfront. House is situated on high ground with a big drop, that you cannot climb down. I’m glad my children were old enough to understand to not go near the edge. The small town of Dorset was 15 mins drive and it had everything you would need. Great fishing spot too. Dwight Beach……

“The amazing location of this.cottage and it's steps away from a beautiful lake are just a very few things to fall in love with this location. But I could keep on going all gaga about this place that comes with abundance of entertainment for kids , ready BBQ and wood for a bonfire and a very cosy atmosphere. But what takes the cake is the kindness and friendliness of the property owner and his always accessible nature when you need anything.. Surely spreading this cottage to my known people and……
