They allowed us to check out a couple of hours later as we had struggled to get transport back from Bilbao, they also made us packed lunch (for a small fee) on departure even though the restaurant was closed. “We are half way through a full week's stay in this hotel and we almost feel "blessed" to have found it at all.
Been traveling the perimeter of Spain on a months long odyssey and by a wide margin this is the best hotel we have experienced thus far with only one more stay remaining.
The room is incredible with our own very spacious exterior covered deck/patio space. The restaurant within the hotel is not only reasonable for prices but the quality is very, very good.

"A disappointing experience - written by my husband who was the one who stays at this hotel
Spent a night in the Artist Gran hotel of Arts on my way back from the Camino de Santiago. I do not know if it was because of my backpack and casual pilgrim dressing but from the start, the service was a bit arrogant. I booked a room with queen size bed (indicating preference on high floor), but was given a DOUBLE bed for 3rd floor. As for the view, Smart Inner View means facing the window of your neighbor (welcome back to the dormitory in the Albergue!). An experience certainly not to be repeated. Get yourself an hotel with better service. You deserve better!"
