“Shower water temp beyond control. Bathroom is old and could be cleaner. A/C water dripping to the room floor all night. Room too dark, more light needed. It’s not a low price lodge, would be great if the owner can invest on some improvements. Kitchen lady is nice and friendly. ”

“Stunning location and clean property directly on the beach with nice extras in the pool and gaming area. Property is out of date and is about 20 min down a dirt road with very poor WiFi and nothing else around. If you’re looking for a resort this isn’t it, but if you are looking for a clean place where you’ll have the beautiful beach to yourself, it’s a good choice.”

“It was a comfortable stay. The highlight was the almost private secluded beach. Being exposed to the elements the property is not in the best condition, but the host immediately took care of any problems we had. FYI there are a few dogs, a cat, and a couple of raccoons which belong to the owner, and live on the property and walk around in the dining area. The food was delicious, and cooked from scratch, so give plenty of time for it to be prepared. A bit on the pricier side. The approach road……

“Wow! Une villa entière pour le même prix ou presque qu'une petit chambre. Quel belle surprise pour nous de découvrir cette endroit, bien localisé, rapport qualité prix exceptionnel, sécuritaire et avec piscine privé pour nous. Une endroit formidable pour le famille ou petit groupe ou même deux personnes. Proche de tout les essentielles. Villa construite en 2023 et ca parait. Je recommande fortement. “This hotel is a piece of paradise…the grounds are beautiful and pristine. The food and drinks, top notch, rooms clean and comfortable …but it’s the people who work there that make it even more special. Everyone there was polite, professional and absolutely helpful…one in particular was Tina. She made our stay absolutely wonderful…from booking tours, procuring taxi rides…something as simple as providing us extra towels…because of her we will absolutely return to Costa Rica and book The Marala……

“Nice, friendly owners. Only 7 units and the people who stay here seem to all like staying at unique out of the way places. Esterillos Oeste is an out of the way place but there are many expats living here. Nice breakfast brought to you each morning. No running hot water available but it's usually so warm outside, isn't much of an issue. I would stay here again.”
