“So this is a Mom and Pop Hotel, but since Route 66 in Kansas is only a short drive, we really don't know how long it has existed. It is clean and comfy, but it is a young couple with a young family running the place, which may be a little much to handle. They were trying to host a small breakfast bar from 6 to 9, but at 6:45 no one had set it up so we went across the street and grabbed coffee at McDonald's and went on our way. “my family and i were passing thru and needed to stop for the night. i got 2 rooms. the room i was in was extremely stink. it smelled of stale smoke. the sheets and pillows were the same stink. there were dead flies along the floor beginning from the entrance leading in to the room. there were also live flies buzzing around the room. we had to leave the door open a bit to get some fresh air and let some flies out. it was well after 1am when we pulled in and was extremely exhausted. i did not……

“Very pretty and well-manicured hotel and grounds. Beautiful golf course/lakeside setting with large pool and "hot" hot tub, plus indoor pool. We were a bit off-season (mid May) and dining options were limited; several were closed. The golf courses are stunning.”
