“Can’t call it a river cabin, because it’s far too nice for that! This is a beautiful, spacious totally finished house on the Tobacco River between Clare and Farwell, MI. Every need for their guests is anticipated and taken care of. Beautiful kitchen, island bar, comfy couches in the great room. Outdoor deck and table overlooking the fast moving (shallow) river. “Clean, fully stocked rustic cabin with an updated bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed and coffee pot brewed quick. The patio was great with a nice firepit. We enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock and paddle boat. We caught bluegill, largemouth bass, perch, and catfish. Lots of red-headed woodpeckers, chickadees, and tufted titmouse birds for viewing. Check in and checkout were a breeze. Great hosts who were easy to communicate with. We will be back!”

“Our stay at the Sasquatch Cottage was excellent. The décor was creative and full of character, with fun Sasquatch touches throughout. My daughter especially enjoyed the swing out front, and the fire pit—with plenty of wood provided—made for relaxing evenings. The location was ideal, close to the Leota trails and with easy access to the lake. A stylish, cozy retreat that made for a memorable getaway.”

“The property was great. Lots of places to hike and explore. The lake was beautiful with crystal clear water. The bottom was sandy but due to the Lilly pads and weeds if you wanted to swim you need to get in at the end of the dock. Fishing was good with a lot of nice bass and a few northern pike 20-30 inches. There were 2 canoes 2 kayaks and a rowboat along with life vests. “This house was great for our girls weekend! A lot of bunk beds, but we did our best to make it work. Some of our group are older women and it was not safe for them to adventure to a top metal bunk bed, but we were aware of that when we booked. Not a negative, just something to consider.
