“Awesome place to stay when in Hilo. Has everything you need to keep everyone entertained even when you are at the property. Billiards, dart board and basketball hoop kept the kids busy. Also, had bikes to ride to go to the beach nearby and tour the neighborhood. But the best thing about this place was that you can try the fruits from the trees in the backyard. “The Thomas Guard house is a very special place! The setting is spectacular, with waterfall and jungle views from multiple lanais. There was plenty of space for our group of seven to spread out (including three kids and two grandmas) - everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, which was ideal for our family. The house is beautifully and lovingly restored and well-maintained. There is no air conditioning, but each bedroom has a ceiling fan and a floor fan, so we all slept in relative……

“The space is beautiful inside and out, we struggled with the gate lock the first couple of times we used it, it started to loosen up the more we used it. The frogs come alive at night and give you a symphony. If you’re sensitive to noise while sleeping bring ear plugs. We will absolutely stay here again.”
