“The house was extremely clean and had everything needed and as described. Lisa was prompt and accomodating at every turn. Neighborhood was quiet and outdoor space was great...unfortunately we had alot of rain. If we visit family in the area again, we'll definitely re-book and build a fire. ”

“Very clean house inside and out. Beautiful views and walks through the woods along the river. Hot tub and fire pit (indoor and outdoor) were so cozy and wonderful. I have bookmarked to return because it was such a great place to stay. ”

“The interior of this older home is spotless and roomy. The beds were very comfortable, the two bathrooms were up to date, the kitchen had all appliances, The manager was very communicative. We are possibly returning in the summer for a stay here. The town of Powhatan is small and beautiful.”

“Would recommend a stay here. The house was fairly clean, the area is nice, the fire pit looks cool (we didn't get to use it). The place is not as listed so be sure to check. The pictures are out of date. The furniture is not as shown and not arranged as shown. The "kids room" has bunk bed, not pictured. Pretty sure only one of the other bedrooms is photographed. Yes, there are chickens outside, penned. This didn't bother us but we would have appreciated a note in the listing that they are there……
