Coincidentally, it was also my birthday and our 14th wedding anniversary that same week, which made the trip even more special. On our last evening, we enjoyed a peaceful barbecue on the lovely deck, overlooking the serene lake—a perfect way to end our stay.The house was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. “My wife and I stayed here in May 2025. We loved it, and would definitely stay here again, if we were in the area. The inn itself was great, but Martha (the hostess) was the real highlight of this place. She was very welcoming, and certainly had a servant's heart. The breakfast she made was outstanding. And the cookies were delicious, too! The room we stayed in was very good (including the bathroom), and we loved sitting on the front porch during our first night there. The view of the mountains……
