This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting.……

“We came to a college prospect camp. The house was a nice place in the woods not far from the school. It helped make the trip a mini vacation and we would definitely stay again.”

“Nice, clean house right on the water. Both the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The view of the lake was beautiful.The stairs were no joke, but once you got down to the lake it's very peaceful. ”

“As a solo traveler I got the peace and serenity I was looking for. The view of the lake from different rooms in the house was breathtaking and soothing. Lots of wildlife and you can watch the fish jumping in the air. The kayaks and the paddle board enhance d the feeling of being one with the lake. My dog loved to lie on the upper deck and watch nature and the deck was completely fenced making it safer for my furry friend. ”

“The location and property was amazing. Our kids loved hanging out by the creek. The house was also great and had everything we needed to make our week long stay a breeze. We didn't want to leave.”

“Appreciated the property and proximity to downtown. Neighborhood at first may appear rough, but it is quiet.”

“I cannot recommend this home enough. I spent a fantastic long weekend here escaping the city fireworks with my dog. We enjoyed the early morning walks and bird watching and relaxing by the river in the afternoon. The house is clean and spacious and the kitchen had everything I needed. I was so sad to leave, and would love to return in the future. The George Washington National Forest is stunning, and this home is the perfect way to experience all of its beauty. ”
