“Everything about the stay from start to finish was convenient and the house was spotless! The affordable price made it much more economical for a family to stay versus a hotel. The main bedroom bed was unusually hard but the couch was very comfortable. Would recommend for sure!!”

“Great family getaway with good views, lots of bedrooms, bathrooms, entertainment and an indoor hot tub. Clean well stocked, highly recommend.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. We just wanted a place to get together and eat, drink, laugh and make memories. Overall it was a perfect house for us to do this in. Only issue was it was listed with bunk beds , but they were dismantled and the frames were n the garage. We did pull the mattresses out of the closet and use them. Oh and the speed bump entering the property was not marked well and those of us n the back of the SUV got “launched.” We had a great time!”

Our Grandkids wanted to fish but the lake was too icy. It was wonderful to celebrate Christmas and bring in 2025 with our family!”

“I came with two friends to shop and experience Amish Country. The house was perfect. We ate breakfast there both mornings and had aupper there in evenings. Walked to main street both days and loved all the shops. Drove out in the country, ate at Yoder’s, shopped at the Bulk market, took a buggy ride. We are coming back soon.”

“I booked this property last minute for a family visit and was happy with how quickly the host accommodated us. Communication was prompt and helpful whenever we reached out. The three foam beds were comfortable, and each bedroom had its own TV, which was a nice touch. The living room comfortably seated three on the sofa, with additional seating for three at the dining table. Everything from the furniture to the dishes was in new condition. “I stayed at this property for 2 days due to work and I was highly satisfied. The house was very welcoming, smelled amazing, and was decorating nice.The host was exceptional and made sure all of my needs were met. The fact that the essentials were provided plus some made my stay even better. I didnt have to worry about packing everything under the sun because it was already there. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Mattoon. ”

“We had a nice stay at the Holiday House. The decorations made it extra fun! We had 3 adults and 5 small kids — it was nice to let the kids play with toys and in the yard while adults hung out. The hosts were great! We had no issues with our stay, but the hosts were quick to respond when we asked for a recommendation for St. Patrick’s Day festivities.”

“The interior of home was very nice, cozy and beautiful. The bedding, towels and throws were very nice. The exterior once decking and patio get upgraded would be very enjoyable. Kitchen is well supplied also. Missed a hairdryer, tin foil and storage bags, these items would be an asset. Thanks for the stay.”
