“We came up for a family reunion and found this property that may accommodate a wheelchair. Had a ramp on the front. Everything was great. Location was perfect for where we were headed. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and the grandparents. Easy check in and check out. Host was very quick with responses. Would stay again. ”

“Everything was great”

“We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. Communication with the owners was quick, checkin and check out was seamless. It was nice to have access to a full kitchen and laundry room. We were a bit hot without AC, but that’s just us being nitpicky. We rented a pontoon from B&B marina across the lake, and returned it to the marina at night. We didn’t get much use out of the dock access, mainly because we rented the pontoon and didn’t need to. Overall, We highly recommend this rental!”

“The property was as shown in the pictures very cozy and an awesome back yard to enjoy a fire and stare gaze. The only down fall was the shower, it felt like i was taking a bird bath no pressure from the nozzle which made me disappointed and also Higgins Lake was Not a 2 min walk more like a 15min drive but its close enough from the cabin to enjoy the lake and scenery. The kitchen was big and had everything you needed overall I'd like to return if shower head was replaced and thougts about adding……

“Our family had a great time for a long weekend at the cottage. We did some kayaking on the Ausable River, fishing on the lake and spent lots of time around the fire pit. The house had a few quirks, but that is just a function of being an older house. It was very well maintained and clean and had plenty of beds for our extended family to sleep in. The owner provided clear instructions and was prompt with communication and responding to questions.”

“Right on the water for fishing and boating. Kayaks, small fishing boat and paddle boat provided. Great fishing. Close to downtown Mio to go shopping and out to eat. Close to the river to go rafting. ”

“The Walk-to-the-dock Cottage was perfect! The property was exactly as described, and better than expected! Plenty of thoughtful touches (we especially enjoyed the mini waffle maker)! Ryan is an excellent host! Very responsive and helpful throughout our vacation. He provided recommendations for local restaurants and boat rental businesses. We loved our stay!”

“The house was better than the pictures portrayed. We were very comfortable and loved the location. Our kids had a blast looking for rocks and playing in the shallow waters. Future renters: bring tupperware, scissors, tinfoil, seasonings, and any extra pans or baking dishes because the kitchen was slim on those items.”

“This was our second time at this home and it was just as great as the first time! The host is very professional and responds quickly to any correspondence! The location is fantastic, being in a very quiet, heavily wooded small community. The birding here is wonderful with many different species to enjoy. It is close to both state parks which have wonderful beaches and swimming.”

“The house was beautiful and well stocked with everything you could need for an up north stay. The property was private and serene with all neighbors a good distance away. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach but you can easily drive and park along the road. Would definitely book and stay here again! ”
