Along with the homeowner, Mrs. Janet, being super responsive and attentive during the entirety of my stay. “My husband and I spend a lot of time traveling by motorcycle and have stayed in 50 vacation rentals. This is exactly the kind of place we look for when booking our trips; quiet, clean and comfortable. The house is nicely decorated with everything that we needed to relax at the end of the day. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to the birds and watching the fireflies. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Mars Hill.”

“My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at the Fox Den to celebrate our anniversary. The location is conveniently 20 minutes from the nearest town, but just far enough away that it feels very remote. As of July 2025, many of the main parks in the area are still recovering from Hurricane Helene damage, but that didn't stop us from finding open places to explore, as the Fox Den is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The home is already equipped with basic necessities such as paper towels,……

“We had a wonderful stay in this immaculate home! The rooms are large yet cozy and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need to cook dinner. My family loved the hot tub. The hosts made sure we had propane fur the grill and even came personally when there was a problem with the AC. The workman came right out and quickly fixed the issue. The communication with the host was excellent. We’d definitely stay here again!”

“The home and surrounding property were perfect for our stay in the mountains of North Carolina. The owners prepared a bouquet of fresh flowers and cookies for us upon our arrival, which was a very nice surprise hurricane Helene took out the stairs leading down to the creek, which made it a little more difficult than we anticipated to get down to the creek, but we found many other things to do, and there are many places in the area where you can access the water. I would highly recommend this……
