“Our family gathering included 19 adults and 8 children ages 5 & under. Our parents once had a home on Lake Jackson, so this was a trip of memories for all of us. This home provided ample gathering space inside, and the pool proved a great place for outside gathering. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The kitchen had plenty of space for cooking and most of the utensils we needed. We noted several previous guests had suggested we bring our own sharp knives and disposable dining utensils……

“This is our second time as we are renting this house and I couldn’t be more happy with it. The house is huge, big lot too, it’s super-quiet, the place just filled with a birds chirping which is so nice to wake up to. Everything is clean and well-maintained, there’s a nice firepit outside, awesome hot tub and canoes downhill. The host is very helpful and replies to the questions right away. Great place - great service. ”

“Except for the trains, it was rather quiet. The floors could be cleaner in the cabins. The freezer needed to be defrosted, so we could not use it. We lost power Saturday night for about 4 hours. Other than that, it was a great stay.”

“Upon arrival we were so impressed with this little gem. The owners thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There was a snack basket, plenty of towels, bedding, and cleaning supplies. The property and lake are beautiful. We enjoyed time on the porch and the dock each day. We even enjoyed watching the fireflies. We would absolutely stay here again. ”

“ We were a multi-generation family staying at this lovely lake house for July 4 weekend. We had a wonderful time. The house was clean with plenty of room for everyone. The pool table was a big hit with lots of games between the grandparents and teens. There is a peninsula on the lake very close by where we would walk most evenings, and we walked there the night of the 4th and were able to see so many fireworks! Grocery store in Monticello was convenient and easy. This is a nice house for……
