“It's a nice property in a quite and peaceful setting. We had two adult couples, and found that there was room for all of us. The folding table leafs in the family room and kitchen were a nice addition for utilizing space. Since we were meeting friends at another lake property while in town, we didn't take advantage of the lake front features.”

“The cabin was very clean and just the right size for me, my wife and our dog. The owner was great with communication. The only downside was the entire lake had weeds growing to nearly the top of the water, so it is not swimmable. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and ready for us to settle in. There were plenty of bath towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The beds were comfortable and there were good amenities. Kitchen was well stocked. I'd recommend adding a cheese grater and measuring spoons though. :) There is a loft with 4 beds and a couple of couches. Great place for kids to hang. We loved the enclosed porch that faced the lake. Thanks! We'll be back!”

“Great location and view. Cozy cottage! Clean and beautiful view. ”

“The lake view was perfect. We could see occasional boaters (speed, pontoon, canoe) but motors never intruded. We were visited daily by a large pelican slowly paddling by and a group of Canadian geese (4 adults, 5 goslings) on the shoreline, and a black squirrel. The cabin was furnished with many added features (TV, grilling and fire pit items, kitchen supplies, comfy beds and towels).My friend and I were celebrating her retirement and we wanted a quiet retreat to relax by the water, read, play……

“Cowdry cabin and Hut worked perfectly for two couples getting away.The cabin to water proximity is perfect and flat.Plenty of and varied outdoor chairs to choose from and the lake is the show. Morning dancing dragonflies, loons and ducks, and spectacular sunsets.Cabin is charming and comfortable, plenty of space to spread out to read and relax or get together for meals and cards.I recommend to others looking for an Alexandria lake front stay. “House was great it was clean even better than pictures. Has more than 1 fridge which having more people is a plus. Yard was flat to lake so easy access to the lake. Chuck and Debbie were great at responding to anything we had questions about, and they were very flexible on dates that had changed.Definitely stay there again and will also tell friends and family about this so they can have the same great experience we did.”
