“Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. ”

“Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips.”

“Beautifully restored cottage, in a lovely quiet area. Really cosy and has all the things you need for a comfortable stay. Kate gave us a lovely welcome, the Prosecco was ace! Would definitely recommend.”

“We had the best time in this cottage. There were 5 women aged 32 to 58 all family. The house was clean and everything you needed was supplied. The hot tub was great and we spent time in it both days. Perth is a 25 min drive if you wish to go for a bit of shopping. We went in February and it was cold. In the better weather families would have lots to do and children have lots of room to play. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at The Great Hall at DOLLARBEG castle. It’s beautifully decorated and extremely clean. It’s the nicest holiday rental we have ever stayed at. Communication with the owner/host was excellent. We live in Texas and hope to visit again some day. Kay and Rick”

“The flat is ok-ish, clean enough I would say but definitely not a luxury apartment. It has a couple of cool things like the bathroom mirror, a couple of lights and some black furniture but that's about all the luxuries. How luxurious is it when you have to hand wash the dishes and why would you host up to 8 guests but only provide towels for a max of 4!?! On the host's defence this was mentioned in the house rules but still... The gym is actually a stationary bike in the living room, some……

“I can’t put into words how stunning this place is! The host had the place all decorated for Christmas since we were there for the festivities which was great as we had a little one with us. The house is very spacious and was spotless! Only bit of feedback I have is that the kitchen utensils could be doing with an update. I was cooking christmas dinner which was a bit harder as there was no working potato peeler and there was not a small knife to use, only large ones. There was also no whisk but……
