“We stayed in the villas. Everything was absolutely perfect. My 88-year-old mom was able to be on the deck, enjoying the views while we were at the sound and in the pool. The staff was fantastic. Everything was spotless. The other guests were so respectful quiet- it was such an easy vacation. It was incredible.”
“What a cute/clean/comfortable stay and at an amazing price! Only a 5 or less minute drive to the beaches. Plenty of dining options around. Would definitely stay again. ”
“Really nice property and very helpful staff. Area around the hotel is pretty, with lots of places to sit and watch the geese. Rooms are okay--be sure to get a "suite" or a double, as the single rooms are very small. Bathing facilities are pretty rudimentary--could use a shower seat or a bathtub. "Breakfast" is weak coffee and orange or apple juice.”
“As always, when in this area of CT. I stay at the Lamplighter. Close to the highway, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants. Always very clean, everything works and i did notice the new beds in my room, which were super comfortable. Extremely nice rooms for the price, with fridge and microwave. Shower, instant hot water and plenty of it. I love staying at the Lamplighter. ”
“Stayed here for two nights while spending a weekend at the casino. It’s close to Mohegan Sun, only about 12 minutes away and saved me a lot of money. 24 hour mini mart next door too. The husband and wife (owners?) were really kind and friendly. It was quiet, the room was clean, fridge and microwave. It was a great deal and I would definitely stay here again next time I go to the casino overnight rather than pay full weekend rate at the casino which is like $500-600 a night. ”
