“We really enjoyed our stay. Our host did an outstanding job making us feel welcome, and the property was exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfect with a huge lawn right on the Chena River! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, our kids enjoyed paddleboarding on the river, and our dog enjoyed exploring the spacious yard. The home itself has a unique, old time Alaska feel to it, and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed reading some of the articles hanging up about the history……

“Laura and Martin have a wonderful get-away. Breakfast, coffee, water and snacks await you upon arrival. The house is clean and the decor provides real Alaskan vibe. I stayed mid-July and the deck and flowers were peaceful and inviting. As hosts,, they are friendly and attentive. I would recommend anyone to their lovely Gilmore house. ”

“This is among the top places I have stayed in my 50 years of travel. The area is convenient and quiet, and the home was comfortable and clean. Communication was excellent.The host provided snacks, gourmet coffee, and chilled water for our use. These thoughtful touches made the stay especially nice.”

“All the amenities you could think of. We were worried when we first got to the apartment, the neighborhood seemed a little run down, but everything was fine. We stayed 10 days and were totally comfortable. Thanks for having a great place”

“The home was clean, well decorated and furnished, and in a great location - close to downtown and the university. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with extras such as snack and toiletries which was a nice surprise when arriving late after traveling all day. Elizabeth was great answering questions we had and responding quickly. We would stay at the home anytime again.”

“We had an awesome stay at this cabin, it is on a beautiful property and is centrally located between Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs.We also had a great view at the Northern Lights! Would definitely recommend staying at this property!”

“We spent a few nights here while getting our son all settled in at UAF. We were gone most of the time during the day but the evenings were quiet even though it’s right off the road. ”
