“The area around it seemed a little sketchy when were pulling in but would highly recommend staying here. Don’t let the surrounding area scare you. It was my 1st experience with a bed and breakfast. The owner/staff was great. Always helpful. Breakfast was delicious each morning. It was all homemade. Shower was AMAZING! Great pressure and extra overhead rainfall shower too. We found out from other guests it was her childhood home. We truly enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. ”

“My stay was about a week before they actually opened for the season. So they were still doing some renovations. Oh, and I checked in and while I was staying there, but my stay was enjoyable. “While the rooms and furnishings are very nice, the bathrooms we not cleanly or updated. The night I stayed there, the power had gone off and there was no air conditioning and the no water. “Having been born and raised in this area, I wasn't familiar with this location when trying to find a place close to family when coming back to visit. The address said Fort Plain, however it's in town of Danube, outside of St. Johnsville, not even remotely close to FP. Mind the location, as that wasn't a big deal to travel back and forth. “Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked.
