“I visited with three colleagues for a workshop in Astoria. This place is so nice, with a great view overlooking the river and four bedrooms. The bed I was in was super comfortable. One person brought their spouse, so they took the master suite downstairs and the rest of us each had a perfect spot upstairs. We enjoyed eating breakfast and visiting together in the evenings. I would do my very best to make sure I could stay here again if I'm ever back in Astoria.”

“Wonderful (and amazingly clean) house. Great location - you can see the ocean from the top floor and walk to the beach. The house has comfortable furniture and beds. The ping pong and fussball tables added to the fun. Owners were easy to reach and helpful (we couldn't figure out the DVD player). We have already booked our next visit. Would have been nice to have: a ladder to get to the top bunk, a mixing bowl or two, and a colander for draining pasta. ”

“We loved our stay at Jana's beach cottage. It was very clean and has everything we needed and was very well stocked. Communication was prompt and great with the host when we needed some help with the television. We loved being so close to the beach, Fort Stevens, and Astoria! We would love to stay here again! ”

“Property had lots to offer, sauna, spa, dock. Owner did not know inventory of gear on property. Specifically we asked if they had a crab pot for soaking overnight, they said no but indeed they had one after we had to pack our own and bring. There was a mouse in the laundry room. Location not ideal, tucked way into the community, quite a drive off the freeway so took significant time to get to a grocery store. Lots of confusion at check out. Charged us extra for cleaning for basic things……

“The good: 1 block from the heart of town and short walk to qBolstad beach. The house is very well appointed. The management team sent out clear check in instructions before arrival, and responded quickly when we needed minor repairs. The so-so: First floor had a stale odor every time we came back into the house, but was especially obvious when we first arrived. Probably because of the humidity? Usually airing it out for a couple hours too care of the problem adequately. The balcony……

“With three bedrooms and 6 total beds, there is plenty of space for everyone. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located near an awesome bakery. The house is stocked with everything you need (except there was no soap for the shower-bring your own). Everything was great from check in to check out, however, the Cadet heating units in the main living room didn't work. the bedrooms were fine, and we weren't in the house except to sleep, so it didn't matter much. We visited in Feb, so……

“Place was neat and clean. Somewhat musty when first entered. Solved by opening doors and windows. I have owned property on the beach before and have found this to be a common behavior. House is the only house on a gated lane. Lots of space!! Was very happy with being able to let the dog out, stay on the deck and not have to worry about disturbing the neighbors. Three floors worth of house with the associated number of stairs. Beds were comfortable. View from the front room and deck were……

“2024 was the second year we stayed at this lovely home. We are a group of professionals from the PNW who get together annually to connect. The house is the perfect location to the beach and restaurants. It has all of the amenities one could need. Overall great stay, will be back!”
