“The room and staff were excellent however I found the breakfast disappointing. No fresh fruit and the hot water (for my English breakfast tea) was lukewarm so the tea bag didn't steep. I don't drink coffee so this was annoying and seems to be the case in nearly every American hotel I stay in. Otherwise everything was excellent!”

“In town for graduation and stayed at Down to the Wire. Everything was as presented, clean, and easy check-in and check-out. Easy access to campus and around town without all the hustle and bustle. Thanks for offering this property. ”

“The house was described as "Historic", which means it is very old. It was clean. We were a group of 2 couples. Both of the women complained that the beds were uncomfortable, as well as the pillows. Each of the beds were full size. There was a couple of air fresheners in the living room that were so strong it was a bit overwhelming. After communication with the owner, we removed the air fresheners to the front porch, turned on the AC and a fan and things were better. Communication with the owner……

“Loved the charm of the house. "Historic" is an accurate term. Right next to Tuskegee University. Beds were comfortable. E-mail communication prior to the trip was great,, but when we tried the phone number that we were given, we were told it is an international number. ”

“Nice location, just a couple minutes down the road from TU! Tub, bed linen, refrigerator and yard were all clean. I left my electric toothbrush and the host offered to ship it back to me! Next time I’m in town, I’m definitely booking this but again! Thank you! ”

“This place was so unique! We enjoyed both the inside as well as the outside amenities. The outside hot tub was easy to use and an amazing way to enjoy the secluded property with nature all around us. We are already making plans for a return trip!”
