“We stayed here for 2 nights in May and had a fantastic time! The owners were accessible and came down to fill the water tank and clear the waste tank when we needed it. They warned us the water from the tap was discolored but safe to drink, and provided us with a gallon of distilled water. If you are particular about the water you drink, definitely bring drinking water. The stove and grill worked well, there was plenty of firewood, and the kayak only fit one person but was so fun to take out on……

“We loved this little house on the lake while we were in the Detroits Lakes area hiking in 3 of the MN State Parks. The size and location of the house was perfect for us, and the furnishings were warm and inviting. From chilled bottled water in the refrigerator, to a sweet hadwritten note from the owners with the gift of a grilling mat, we felt like we were cared for as "family". Being able to walk out the backdoor down to the dock in the early morning with a cup of coffee and watch sunrise……
