“Six senior guys, ready for a nice place to fish, play 42, enjoy adult beverages, cooking and eating. The house was great, location terrific. On a dead end road, so very little traffic. Bonus was meeting the owner, he came to check a showerhead not cooperating. Had a very nice visit. ”

“The place is beautifully and filled with memories. Its far away from civilization. Quiet and peaceful place in the hill country. Me and my family loved this property we walked all around the property. If you like taking pictures of the stars this place is also great. We were able to take some great pictures. Loved the glass roof over one of the beds. Overall I would definitely stay here again.”

“Amazing place to stay if you are in Castell. It is a short walk to the river and even closer if you want to grab a burger at the General Store! ”

“Cabin was great! It was just what we needed to wind down from a hectic lifestyle. Walk to the river was quite further than we expected and if you plan on taking chairs and ice chests, be prepared to cross over some pretty rough terrain. In all honesty, the views are amazing and hearing the rush of the water was soothing! We’re used to remote locations and have been hunting all our lives, this reminded me of a hunting cabin and I couldn’t have been more pleased with everything! If I had to say……

“This was a great stay for our extended family to unwind and enjoy time on the river. The breezeway table was a really standout for us - every meal was had there. River access on the property was perfect. The town of Castell is very small, so pack all you might need in terms of grocery items. ”
