“The overall property is very nice and peaceful. We loved having a fully fenced area for the dogs. Definitely a unique and historic property. The only issue I had was the height of the composting toilet. For me, it was a big step up and down, and I felt unsteady using it in the middle of the night. It would be nice to have a grab bar or something to help stabilize older people (like me). ”

“The pictures on the site don’t tell the story . They look good . The place is extremely small And cramped . It was clean . The air conditioner is a small in the bathroom window so the main part where the bed was did not get cool . The bed was comfortable . The price was rather high for what a person got . The other units are monthly rentals and the parking is horrible . ”

Parts of the floor creaked a bit, that’s to be expected of a historic building. The loft has plenty of charm and a great location. If you are coming to Spearfish I would highly recommended you stay here!!”
