“Captain's Cottage is super cute! The pictures really dont do it justice. We were a block from the beach. Snug Harbour and Noto's are a must for waterfront dining. Downtown had lots to offer as well and was walking distance to CC. We had to make a trip to Meijer...also very close...and was astonished at the cleanliness and upscale feel of this store. We had a great, although too short stay, at Captain's Cottage.”

“We loved staying at this cozy cottage nestled in a quiet neighborhood within a short walk to a public access beach. “All aspects of this property met our expectations except for the bedroom situation. The property is listed as 5 bedrooms, but only one bedroom (new addition) has full walls. The other 4 bedrooms have open rafter ceiling which makes each room connected as far as noise is concerned. If you are traveling with other couples, this may not be advantageous. That being said, the location is great and the view from the deck is lovely. Jay is also a very gracious host. ”

We stayed for the Holland Tulip festival and the setting was the perfect retreat after a long day of walking and people. “This is the most adorable beach house, super clean and beautifully decorated! Location is right across the street from the beach and minutes (driving) away from Grand Haven shopping and restaurants. We had a tiny issue with the lock on the door (how to) but the owners texted us back right away and even checked on us the next day to make sure we were good to go! Such a wonderful time, this is an awesome property for a family vacation!”

“We had a lovely stay. This home is very clean, comfortable and the location and home is beautiful. However, close to check in, we received a lengthy message from the host with several rules such as no cooking with cumin or curry, no moving beds around, no food or beverages in any bedrooms, etc. We found this rather restrictive when staying with our families and several small children. We also like to cook with cumin for tacos. Oh, and only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. So you can imagine……
