“The house was cozy and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked except there was only on small pot, but plenty of pans. The listing said the house has private river access. I took that to mean that there was river access directly behind the house. A clarifying statement that river is accessible by a short drive would have been helpful. Once I adjusted my expectations, we had a great time. Thank you.”

“Great home and view. Would certainly rent again. Only desirable would be better roads to Blowing Rock which takes about 25 minutes to Main Street. Easily passable roads for 3 seasons but many curves and rough pavement. ”

“The lake house was amazing!! We celebrated our 40th anniversary with our family. Our grandkids had such a fun time down on the dock, swimming & kayaking. The house was prefect too!! We all enjoyed relaxing in the comfort of the beautiful home! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. We are a family of 10 & there were plenty of beds & rooms for everyone with one to spare. The kids enjoyed the game room when they weren’t at the dock! Fair to say, we all got our work out on……

The open layout and rustic charm made it feel like a true getaway, much more comfortable and private than a hotel or condo.The game room was a huge hit. Ping pong and billiards kept everyone entertained for hours. Sadly, the foosball table was out of commission, and the pool cues had seen better days (missing tips), but the overall experience was still enjoyable.With a few small fixes, this place would be absolutely perfect, but even as-is……
