“I was really impressed with this place. It looks unassuming but the rooms were spacious and the bathroom really modern and the shower powerful. Exactly what I want from a hotel bathroom. If I were to nitpick, I’d say that because the mattress is memory foam, I sunk in a bit meaning that I could have done with a thinner pillow. The one provided was a bit too thick but that’s a personal preference. ”

“Hotel Victoria is the best hotel I experienced in my honeymoon journey or even my life, super recommend! I book the hotel by mistake at firsts, since I was finding a hotel in Interlaken. However, I have no regret for staying there 2 nights. First, it is only 25 mins train to Interlaken. Second, this place (Meiringen) is a beautiful and peaceful place that not so many tourists noticed. The hotel is very close to Meiringen train station, about 2 mins walk. “We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. ”
