“Nellie’s log cabin is a real gem! Nestled in the woods on a working farm, this cabin is surrounded by beautiful hardwoods and faces a picturesque pond. It is peaceful and quiet and there is no traffic noise- only the sounds of birds, bullfrogs and chirping crickets. It is very close to Hanging Rock State Park. The hostess is extremely responsive and very helpful with any questions or concerns and the cabin upon arrival was absolutely spotless. This was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed!……

“Really enjoyed our two-night stay in the mountains on our way to Kiawah Island for a golf trip. First night - played cards on the back porch listening to the Chuck-Will’s Widows calling to each other. Perfect! The cabin is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and just the right size for a couple’s getaway. It is located on a peaceful road with easy access to Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks. Really enjoyed hiking in both places. Took advantage of Harlie’s suggestions for dining and……

“We were in town to move our daughter to Winston-Salem. It was nice to have coffee there for our early morning departure. There was not a lot to cook with, so I was glad we were eating out. The shower water is opposite of what I’m used to. Cold was all the way to the left and hot to the right. Just FYI. ”

“Arrived later in the evening her directions were perfect. She left the lights on knowing we would be in at dark. The house is beautiful and cozy. Setting outside watching the sunset over Pilot Mountain was so serene. Couldnt ask for a better view or host to communicate with !! Highly recommend !!! ”
