“I arrived later than planned so I got lost in the dark trying to find the place. Super cute and cozy. Close to the lake and restarting/bar. There is no heat, but the owner provided a space heater. I love the cold so I didn’t need it. ”

Long dirt road to get there but wasn’t hard to navigate and still a close drive to general store (Cables), convenience store/pizzaria (Arlo’s) or restaurants (The Beacon) for weekend needs. “We had a wonderful vacation at Newton Lake! We are formally from Scranton, and it was so nice to have our siblings come to visit. The grandkids loved the kayaks and paddleboards. They spent hours in the lake every day. The cottage was very nice and there was plenty of space for everyone. The extra fridge was a great plus. Our only suggestion is to have a switch for the spotlight so that we could turn it on at night. It was a struggle walking up to the house in the dark.”
