“This is a great property if you are looking for a private, quiet and relaxing stay in the woods! They had everything we needed and then some. The hosts are very responsive. I especially liked that it was pet friendly. Easy to get to west Jefferson, Lansing, Grayson Highlands State Park & more. Would stay again! ”

“As always, the best place to stay!! I have been staying here a lot due to my job beeing in Jefferson and I have never experienced an uncomfortable stay. The hosts are just as beautiful as the scenery and their home. I don’t think I could express enough on how much I love coming here!!!”

“The cabin is very well taken care of. We 1st stayed when it was fairly new. The hot tub is excellent, clean, clear, and no chlorine smell. Quite and away from the hussle and bussle of life. ”

It is important that you realize this house is on top of a mountain. It is NOT suited for someone in a wheelchair. The walk from the parking spot to the house is up a severe incline. If you want to go for a walk on the road, it is a very steep road. This is great if you want to be isolated and everyone in your party is fit enough to climb stairs. We stayed……

“We love the cabin and would definitely stay there again. It’s easy to find with GPS and the area is quiet. It is within a reasonable distance from Boone and other attractions. ”

“We had a wonderful time at this cozy cabin sitting right on a small fork of the New River. We even tubed from the cabin down to the Payne Branch park, definitely recommend doing that, a short and easy tube ride and you can walk back along the road. ”

The reason I gave location 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is a house that is about 20 yards and shares the driveway. This was not evident in the photos at the time of my booking. This review speaks mostly about pet concerns because the home itself is sweet, well decorated, has comfortable seating, mattress, and a/c. I chose this home for the yard; ability to play fetch; yes, lots of space but my dog does……
