“Overall the experience of staying at this VRBO was positive. The location was easily accessible and the home was well stocked with towels, paper products, kitchen supplies (pots, pans, mugs etc.). This is an older home which has been upgraded nicely to include modern comforts but still retains a rustic, comfortably lived in vibe. That said, there were two issues we felt worthy of mentioning. The cleanliness was somewhat substandard. I’m not one to take a white glove to window ledges or door……

“We love staying here for our annual fishing trip! The house is wonderful. The yard is extremely spacious and very kid friendly. It is always stocked with everything needed and very clean! ”

“Such a well decorated farmhouse with a large wrap-around porch with plenty of outdoor rockers. The location was convenient for visiting Sparta and Stone Mountain State Park.Clara was excellent providing information for our stay at her farmhouse.My husband and I hope to come again, as well as our daughter and 2 young grandsons.”

“The kids (4&7) had a blast!! They got to ride horses, collect eggs, feed the animals and go fishing. It was a great stay. Walton makes it even more special. We highly recommend!!!”

“It was a short stay but would stay longer if the opportunity would arise. The chickens greeted us and they are beautiful. The place was very lovely and clean. Great place to visit. If you are from the city, you would enjoy the country. ”

“Such a wonderful respite from our busy lives. Perfect setting , great home, so much fun tubing in the New River which is close by and enjoying the fire out and outdoor space and porches. Plenty of towels and supplies. Home is very clean and well kept.”

“Words or pictures don't do justice to this beautiful farmhouse home! Spotlessly clean, beautiful antiques throughout and all the little touches that made this feel like home! Everything that you could possibly need! The beds are so comfortable, Egyptian towels, internet, and a fire pit that we thoroughly enjoyed! Downtown West Jefferson right down the road with great restaurants and shopping and the Ashe Co. Farmers Market and don't miss the church of the frescos! Dana &Tim were the BEST hosts!……

“I specialize in the identification and removal of mold and other hazardous materials in hospitals and sensitive areas. There was visible mold, active leaks, and the smell of mildew throughout. The pictures were very misleading. The real problem here is we were visiting the area for an industry event (healthcare construction) and I brought a representative from a local healthcare facility who just so happened to be immunocompromised and battling cancer. Thats not a good look. I won't stay here……
