“We haven’t been on a full extended family vacation in 10 years and this was a wonderful place to go to finally all get together. The lake is beautiful, property grounds and home are very nice. Working with the owner was easy and very informative. The only thing I would say is the home is a tad bit smaller than what I thought in the pictures. Still would highly recommend booking here! ”

“Island Cove was perfect for our family vacation. The house fit the six of us (plus two infants and two dogs) comfortably, and everyone loved spending time at the beach, on the pontoon boat, and playing yard games. The check in and check out procedures were simple. It's so rare to find a place like this that ticks all the boxes - great location, easy rental experience, plenty of amenities, and the ability to bring the dogs along for the fun! We'll definitely rent again.”

“Nice beach getaway on Lake Huron. An old motel converted into rental units. Quaint and nostalgic, though lighting could be improved. Quiet and beautiful view. Close to many attractions and restaurants. Swimming good. Generally clean and well kept; some floors slope noticeably. We will likely return.”

“It was all here, and so perfect! It was the exact right spot I had hoped for. The feeling of beach front simplicity and the sound of all those waves. The little cabin had all that was needed including a lovely fire pit just ready for a match. I enjoyed every moment!”

“This is our second time staying at the Lazy Fish Resort. We LOVED the kitchen and bathroom renovations. The place has a nice homey feel. Any complaint I would have is out of the owner’s power ( other guest). We consider this our special place and will totally stay here again.”

“We enjoyed our visit. The cabins were exactly what we expected. We had some Internet issues the first two days of our visit, but the host was quick to respond and helped resolve the issues. The beds were comfortable. The cabin sleeps 6, but the pullout couch was not the most comfortable. I’d say the pullout couch is best for small children. And once the pullout bed is down, there is no space to get out the door. Just some things to consider. Overall it’s hard to beat the location and beach right……

“Poor communication with host,house ran out of propane while there.took time but they did get emergency delivery.nice house but in need of several repairs.outside patio door didn’t have a lock.2 of the bedrooms are in the garage with no curtains,very chilly only electric heaters.warmed up in time.house was cold before we left,but still had hot water thankfully.wondered if host turned temp down…. and we had children and babies.”

“This large house is nicely furnished and decorated. We enjoyed having the option of sitting on the covered patio or the elevated open-air deck. The views of the lake were incredible, with amazing sunrises and so many brights stars at night. The location is perfect! The area is quiet and only a short drive to shopping and restaurants. We went on several scenic drives to places near the home such as Lumberman's Monument and Tawas Point Light Station. The beach (at the end of the backyard lawn)……
