“The room was clean except some overlocked trash behind a end table. The flat screen tv was tiny for a large king room and we had to connect the proper cable to it which was way fun beings the remote was missing a battery”

The room was cozy, warm, and tidy, with an impressive view through the window. I really loved the convenience of their little continental breakfast. ”

“Had a great time during my stay, owners/ staff seem very nice. Hotel is much nicer than alot of reviews lead on. All ammenities/ utilities worked, bed was clean, carpet had sone funny stains but everything worked and the bed was comfortable. If you aren't in Arlington for work Im not sure why you would be there but it is a good place to lay your head at night with a decent shower and good hard working owners.”

“Very unique. It's a step back in time. Don't expect modern resort but you will get friendly authentic service provided by local people who bend over backwards to fulfill your needs and interests. Dufur is a very small old rural historical town in, what some would call, the middle of nowhere. If you want seclusion and enjoy country walks or bike rides and meeting really interesting people the Balch Hotel is for you as it was for us. The people really are fantastic.
