“We are over 70 and we did not have a bathroom in our room. I may have read this, but I don’t recall reading it. We would not have rented this room if I’d known it didn’t have a bathroom in the room. Luckily, the room we would have shared the bathroom with was not occupied, but we still had to go out of our room, utilize the bathroom. Remember the code to get back in our bedroom a couple of times a night. Also, the stairs going up to the room, and all rooms are located on the second floor, are……

“Greatly enjoyed my stayed here! The room was very comfortable, quiet, super clean, with a great view of trees and sky (5th floor, back side of hotel). I was amazed at the scope of the breakfast offerings - eggs, meats, waffles (you make in griddle), yogurt and toppings, expresso coffee drinks (from machine but tasty), bagels, and more. And the breakfast room itself was spacious and pleasant. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. All in all I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.……

“I was traveling for a recreational event. This stay offered exactly what I expected for the value: friendly and courteous staff, clean and well-maintained rooms, and excellent location for access to the New River Gorge National Park. There are several food options nearby and/or within driving distance. There is a restaurant on site as well. I'd stay again and I recommend it if you're looking for value and convenience. “We attended a family wedding in the area and the Skyline Lodge was very convenient for many family members to stay at the same place for a reasonable price. The lodge is clean but a bit dated (didn't bother us). Front desk person was not very friendly and seemed bothered by our being there; barked at us a few times for minor issues that could have been better resolved with courtesy (Please and thank you go a long way). “This is a budget hotel so don’t expect the Ritz but new owners are cleaning it up and doing a good job. The linens and mattress were all brand new and very comfortable. New vanity tops and shower walls in bathrooms. All halls and walls freshly painted. Basic free breakfast had sausage and gravy biscuits. They have a few more rooms to finish and I wish them success. ”
