“The lake was very peaceful and gathering my family on the water was what we were looking for. The cottage itself wasn’t really what I expected, it had a musty smell when we walked in, and it was outdated. The air conditioner worked great though! ”

“The biggest problem we had was the property description on VRBO was not accurate. Instead of 3 queen size beds a futon and a spa tub, the property had 2 full size beds and 2 full size futons and a small shower. However, as you read through the description you noticed this. Once I informed the owner of the inaccuracy, it was corrected quickly. The place was clean. It is definitely a cottage style inside. The furniture in the common area with the TV was not very comfortable because the cushions……

“Overall the house was nice and location was beautiful. Unfortunately when we arrived there was no toilet paper, no dishwasher detergent and the smoke alarms were beeping due to expired batteries. They also have a Kurig coffee machine but no coffee. Luckily there was a grocery store nearby where I was able to purchase some of these items at 9pm so that the house was functional. Little things like shampoo and soap and making sure the upstairs bathroom has towels would also be nice details to……

“It was everything I expected and more. Andy was amazing with communication and the cottage was all set up and ready to go!! Not only is the cottage beautiful but the whole Lake is too and everyone here is very friendly!! We will be back next year for sure!! ”

“It was very clean and comfortable and relaxing! I love the style, design layout and all the decorations. The owner has really good taste! I was not sure where to park and there was no signs or directions for where to park. It’s all grass in front of the tiny cottage. There’s a driveway on the other side of the street in front of another neighborhood’s garage, but I guess can park there. Next door neighbor said I couldn’t park next door but can across the street. My son in law parked on the grass……

“We felt like family staying at the Lake House. This vacation home is beautifully situated on the edge of a small stream and lake. The house is ideally set up for one or two families with lots of kids, but it also worked for four adults attending a graduation in Ann Arbor. It's not a luxury stay but it is a thoughtfully curated opportunity to enjoy this very special place. The kitchen is perfect for cooking family meals, and we also enjoyed watching the sun set behind the lake from the enclosed……
