“Wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful food. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Theo and Grant. Our booked Meerkat experience was cancelled due to heavy rain but Theo offered to rearrange that for the following morning - and we are so glad not to have missed that! Grant was a wonderful young man - extremely patient with my husband’s beer selection and very helpful with advice on places to visit. A……

“La Plume was gorgeous-the best place that we stayed during our journey of the Garden Route. The suites were so nicely appointed and super spacious. The breakfast was delicious and we were disappointed that we missed dinner (it was only a 3-course meal). I loved taking a bath in the beautiful bathroom and went for a run at sunrise through the ostrich farms. It’s only about a half hour from Cango Caves. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. “This place is heaven on earth. The rooms are large and stunningly well decorated. The staff is amazing. It's run like a high end game safari destination. Lots to see on the property's large private reserve. You won't find the diversity and huge numbers of game available in Kruger, Botswana, Namibia, etc. This is more of a place for people who have already had their serious safari experience and are looking for a gorgeous property for rest and relaxing and feeling pampered.”

“The eco village is tucked away in the private nature reserve. Wonderful views of springboks as you drive to the eco village on the grounds. Rooms were clean and modern, exceptionally comfortable bed. We will welcomed upon arrival with a glass of port - nice touch. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, tasty food especially the rack of lamb. Stargazing with Eben was an exciting and unique experience. Will stay here again.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old Mill. We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place”
