“The pictures don’t do this justice. It’s a perfectly lovely camp (if you’re a Mainer, you know this term), and the views and peace and quiet can’t be beat. The camp is easy to find, cozy, comfortable and clearly has such wonderful memories from Laura’s family. We picked this place because it’s right between Lubec/Campobello Island and Bar Harbor/Acadia, with easy driving access to both places. Laura was very kind and contact with her was prompt and friendly. We wouldn’t change a thing about this……

“My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh……

“We enjoyed the property. It was perfect for the two of us, clean, tidy and in a very nice location. The only improvements we would like to see would be a dishwasher and a king size bed, but washing a dish by hand for a week is fine and you can't complain to much about sleeping a little closer to your spouse.”

“Plenty of room for all of us to have some alone time, although we spent most of the time relaxing on the deck taking in the beautiful panoramic views. This is a sunny spot, and the weather was perfect all week! It could use another umbrella for shade because the deck is full sun most of the day, but we sat at a picnic table on the shady side of the house to get some reprieval. Charlie delivered lobsters every other day, and at $5/lb we certainly over indulged! The house is older, and has a ton……

“our family loved this house, which made this vacation a favorite. it’s set farther away from the tourist spots, but on the water, close to schoodic portion of acadia np and space for our family and dog to enjoy the outdoors and fish. there’s also a nearby lake (jones pond) that the kids loved swimming. beautiful kitchen and grill for home meals. and my wife was able to do some remot work and telecons with no issues. owner was kind and responsive, - thank you!”

“We loved every minute of our stay. Each day was another opportunity to wake up to the sound of the ocean, explore the private beach, enjoy family time in the house, and watch the most amazing sunsets. Sue was a wonderful host. We hope to stay here again.”

“This propeety was everything we expected and more. A large kitchen stocked with everything a cook would want. A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing. Lots of hiking, waterfront exploring, wildlife and of course fresh seafood!”

“The cottage was everything we could ask for. It sits on a beautiful bay and feels very secluded. We had a fire pit to sit by & enjoy the peace and quiet in the evenings. The cottage is cozy and filled with all sorts of beach & ocean decor. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and good sized. We would love to return someday! ”
