“Wife and I were looking for a place away from the hustle that comes with NOVA normally, and especially the weekend of the inauguration. I must say we found the absolute best spot. Nelson county has always been a favorite spot for us to go to, but most of the time we have made day trips. I absolutely love being able to post up for a weekend in a quiet setting and being able to relax. Even the pup enjoys the quiet and are keen to relax next to the stoves. “Beautiful setting with Stone filled brook out the back door. Very close to several hikes including Crabtree falls. Many wineries, cideries and breweries to visit. Kitchen was well stocked. Grill easy to use and wood provided for wood stove and outdoor fire pit. They have WiFi but no smart tv. Occasional pack of barking dogs and heavy equipment noise in neighborhood.”

“Great stay, perfectly clean and accommodating. A beautiful tri-level home. Lots of room for all of our families and activities. Especially loved the Pacman game unit! Only reason for 4 stars on location is that it's 10-12 minutes just down the mountain to go elsewhere, so if you're like us who came in the spring without skiing, the usual ETA anywhere was 18 or so minutes to hit the major properties. The driveway was a little tricky to navigate but that's to be expected for a mountain resort”

“We wanted to get away from everything and stay in a beautiful mountain home where there was no traffic sounds and beautiful sights… this house provided. I will admit- we drove up the mountain to check in late at night and it is about.a 30 minute drive on unpaved roads up the side of a mountain so that was a bit jarring. But- waking up in the morning to the clouds engulfing us because we were on the top of the mountain was amazing and the views were worth it! Once we drove up and down the……

“The property was extremely nice and accommodating. But, we found it to smaller than we were expecting and difficult for all to be together in the great room and missed having good views of mountains, etc. Manger was excellent.”
