If you are looking to run and dive into Lake Huron this is not the place. The bottom here is all rocks that you cannot walk on. Thank goodness we brought with us paddle boards which are grand children rowed around on.Goose poop was everywhere on the property.Maybe time of year for them! Outside could use a good power washing. “We came here for a short getaway for my 50th birthday. I just wanted to be on the lake and this cabin was the perfect place. We arrived and it was pouring rain and so so windy. I thought for sure it would be cold and damp inside. But it was perfectly dry and nice and warm! The next day it cleared up and we got to enjoy going on the deck and watching the swans and the freighters. That night the sky was clear and the stars were amazing. It would be great to stay at this property during a meteor……

“It was a great get away weekend for us. The beach access was great, beautiful sunrise photos! 60% sand, 40% rocks. The house was perfect for us. Cozy, senior-pet and toddler friendly because it only had a few steps. Nothing fancy about the house, but that’s what we wanted. Could use some renovations (outlet in kitchen didn’t totally work, window A/C unit, new pull-out bed couch) Overall, reminded me of the old hunting cabins turned rentals we would stay in way up north. “Great stay for our family of 4. Had everything we needed for the weekend. Also met some wonderful people staying in another cottage around the shared campfire. ”

“Very clean and accommodating for furkids. Had plenty of supplies for our weekend stay and some extras not listed like a Keurig and cooking spices, etc. I have stayed in places where they only leave one roll of toilet paper and you are forced to go to town for garbage bags etc. one of that here!”

“Started out with no access info to the unit, arrived after dark to no lights and a locked door, had to message host for access code, this should have been in the email with the access info. Upon access we found the heat turned off, it was 50 degrees outside and the smoke detector beeping of a low battery (most annoying). My Wife went to use the restroom found there was no towels out to use, listing clearly said towels were included, (they were under the bathroom sink). No new trash bag in……

“Cute smallish place on outskirts of residential neighborhood. Clean and comfy livingroom/kitchen area for our group of 3 adults for 4 days. Nice backyard/deck. Lindsay very responsive to questions. House about 15 min walk to downtown. Bathroom small; could use updated shower, hooks or shelves for people's wet towels, clothes, etc.”

“We stayed three nights in cottage 5. Great location and cute, clean and comfortable accommodations. They’re exactly as pictured and described. Our only issue was the screen doors were broken but everything else was great for our stay.”

“Nice cabin, great location in Port Austin, easily walkable to the beach, downtown shops, Farmer’s Market. Lots of things provided. Host was helpful and very responsive. Check in was the easiest I think I’ve experienced. Hot water on demand was nice! The cabin itself was a bit small for 5 adults and a baby, but it did work for our weekend. The futon is probably better for kids than an adult. The only area I couldn’t give 5 stars on was cleanliness. It could have been a bit cleaner. ……

“We had an amazing time at the cabin! It was secluded enough to have some privacy but close enough to walk to the beach and drive to Caseville or Port Huron. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be booking again!”
