“An ideal base geographically for chosen sight seeing locations along with meeting up with friends. Disappointed that the room was not within the original 17 century building with so much character. I was allocated a ground floor room in a relatively new block at the rear of the property. The room did not really have any wow factor and I got the feeling that these are the rooms provided to workmen during the week. The pop up plug in the sink was missing and the bath plug did'nt fit. “Stayed here for a 2 night break. Friendly welcome and a lovely room (The Hayloft). Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and cereal to start and a nice home cooked breakfast. Great touch with having a toaster on the table to toast the delicious bread and enjoy the marmalade. Breakfast was efficient with no waiting. Liz and John have a delightful place for a stay.”

“Proper Country House Hotel. Great looking place. Staff all v friendly and helpful at every touch point from reception to the gym to the bar. Don't forget your Golf clubs (like I did) as great driving range if you don't want to play 18holes (with separate golf bar) Rooms spacious and clean. Bed and pillows a bit hard for my taste but blackout curtains work well! 😉”
