“This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. That means bugs – it's Costa Rica after all. No mosquitoes, but beetles, flies, little flying things, and the occasional millipede. You can reduce the insects by not turning on the outside lights at night (finish eating before dark) and cleaning up dishes etc. immediately after……

“This hotel has a great beach location, with walking distance to most necessities. The breakfast had good options and always fresh. I cannot thank the concierge, Jason enough. He helped us out in so many ways. Including recovering lost baggage to booking excursions and transportation whenever we needed it. ”

“Staff were always there for help, if needed. Very friendly. Bathroom sink fixture was in desperate need of fixing. Room needs a safe and mini fridge, but otherwise very good. Breakfast was very good, and staff always had a pot of coffee ready for guests. Pool was perfect on a hot Costa Rica day. Would go back! Pura Vida!”

“This house is in a great location if you want to easily drive to the beach (Playa Linda or Matapalo), Dominical, and Manuel Antonio. The house is set back from the highway with a lot of green space, which is great for dogs, though the neighbors’ dogs run free (and came by a couple of times to pee on our car!). The house was mainly as described, with comfortable enough furniture and plenty of space outside, including a carport, which was helpful during the inevitable downpours of rainy season.……

“Spotless, gorgeous property on the side of the mountain. Beautiful grounds and the hosts were great. Anja made me feel at home right away. Absolutely beautiful sunrise spot. The only negative thing was the road noise, but that had nothing to do with the property.”
