“After reading some reviews, my expectations were low, however I was pleasantly surprised with the exception of the strong smell of smoke in the public areas. I asked that they put an air ionizer in our room before check-in, and they did do that as our room smelled fresh when we entered. The room was clean, but slightly dated. Carpets seemed newer and clean. The breakfast was indeed continental as advertised, but not great. Prepackaged cinnamon rolls were very cold. I ate my breakfast in the……

“I was traveling with family, unfortunately for a funeral. However, this house was a nice, relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day. Very clean & the hosts have thought of everything you might need. Easy, friendly communication with host, too.”

“Nice little place. The neighboorhood was quiet and nice. Keep in mind, we did not stay in peak season. The property is right across the street from the lake, public beach and park. I am sure during the summer this area is bussling with activity. Lovely area. The home was well maintained and clean. Enough amentities to make iur stay comfortable. We would stay here again.”

“I’ve never been able to stay in a house near Five Island Lake, so this was a cool experience. There is a great fire pit area and dock down by the lake. Overall you stay here for the proximity to the lake and the newness of the building. Which is not really offered in any other rental house in Emmetsburg. Grateful for the opportunity to experience it! The house has beautiful new wooden flooring and a nice living room. Check-in using the door code was perfectly easy. The house is set quite far……
