“The hotel is just a short walk from the port and it’s about 7 min away from Lion Square. The sound proof is amazing considering it’s on a main street and very close to the airport. Dimitri made some very good recommendations on restaurants - all of our meals have been amazing in Heraklion. The only recommendation I made is to replenish bottled water every day, rather than just giving 2 small bottles for the whole say. But all in all, good value for money and great hospitality! ”

“The hotel is on the edge of the city center and only 2 blocks from the ocean. You would have to walk about 20 minutes for a small beach or drive 20 for a nicer beach. I rented a car and drove all over the island. Maria at the front desk was very helpful. Parking is hit or miss aw far as street parking. The hotel does have an arrangement with a parking lot a few blocks away, I never used it as I usuy found street parking closer than the parking lot. The room was very spacious, two TVs and a……

“We enjoyed our stay here - the staff answered messages quickly, and the room although basic had everything needed for a few nights stay including a small well equipped kitchen area (kettle, coffee machine, stove hob). Bathroom was small but perfectly useable. A bit more information about the area would be useful but that's what the internet is for. Check in was via a coded key pick up. The location is about 15 minutes walk from main areas of the town. ”

“Our host Aristeides and his wife were terrific. Very helpful and provided good suggestions. The villa was truly spectacular, better than expected. Very clean and good location. A five minute walk is a small market and also a very friendly restaurant. The Greek food was delicious. We went back on our final night to have some wine, beer and stuffed grape leaves. ”

“Geschmack- und liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit sensationellem Blick über die Bucht von Heraklion. Sehr ruhig in einem kleinen Dorf gelegen. Gastgeberin Niki ist eine sehr aufgeschlossene, herzliche und gebildete Dame, die einem jederzeit mit Tipps und Ratschlägen zur Verfügung steht. “We had a wonderful stay at the Rafkos mansion. Stelios the owner took us wherever we needed to go and we had delicious meals at one of the local restaurants. It would be wise to have a car because it’s in a village about 30mins. from Heraklion. Stelios is the definition of Greek hospitality! ”
