“This is a charming house with tons of amenities. We loved our stay. It was a great home base for our WV adventures, located near many outdoor activities but in a calm, peaceful spot. We loved the firepit, the grills, and the board games (Clue forever!). William was wonderful to work with, very responsive. All the stars!”

“Our cabin was extremely clean and cozy. It fit our two families of four well. We enjoyed the hot tub and the campfire, kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking needs. The only issue we had was the can opener needed replaced! ”

“We LOVED our stay at the Shady Lady on Brownstone Ridge! The cabin was so clean and adorably decorated!! Best of all, the beds were super comfy. :) It was also very well equipped with everything we needed for cooking dinner after a day on the lake. As always, we LOVE Summersville and all of the friendly locals, especially at the Tractor Bar. Such a beautiful place to visit!! We can't wait to come back and stay there again. “Location and surrounding area were great for any level of hiking, as well as easy drive-to sight seeing.Plenty of communication/very responsive host. The house is setup well, very comfortable. Worked great for my wife, parents, dog, and I - with a room to spare. Too hot to enjoy the fire-pit during our summer stay, but my wife wants an egg chair now lol. Wood bundles available as add-ons with one included. AC kept up with the heat. We looked forward to the hot tub each evening after hiking……

“My husband and I LOVED this place! It was clean, cozy, and in a great location to get to Summerville Lake and the New River Gorge. The extra attention to detail in decorating and welcome s’more treat was wonderful! The only minor drawback was that we needed directions to get the tv to work. We definitely would stay here again! ”

“This is the second time I’ve stayed at the bungalow. It is near the river and quiet. You do have a train that comes by often, but it was to the thrill and amazement of my 10-year-old. We walked down to the river and fished a lot, which is only 100 yards from the bungalow. If you’re looking for granite countertops and an eight persons Jacuzzi, this might not be the place for you. It’s just a quiet old farmhouse that is clean and functional for a small family. You’ll do a lot of front porch……
