“Excellent location in relation to the places we wanted to visit.Very nice and comfortable suite that had everything we needed for the week. Nice sitting area in the backyard to have a drink and wind up after a long day of walking and hiking.The view/s of the mountains from the property was striking.Because the suite was in the lower level we had to go down and up stairs to get to the suite. But once in the suite it didn't feel like it was in a lower level of the house.We had our dog with us and……

“Fantastic home, fantastic location. We've stayed in Damascus many times over the years. This is by far the best rental ever. The host has thought of everything. We wanted for nothing. I absolutely recommend this stay.”

“Everything was great! We never did manage to ride our bikes all the way up Vails Mill Rd., but was able to ride once we got closer to the top. Proximity to Creeper Trail was a bonus. The trip from Abingdon to Damascus is an awesome ride or just the ride to Alvarado Station and back is great. Ride in to town, look and shop and come back to the cabin and grill burgers. Burgers on a charcoal grill in the mountains taste better that you can ever imagine! As awesome trip in an awesome cabin. Life is……

“For some one that is in recovery from triple by pass there are no railings for the steps,I had to use my family to get up the stairs. All the guniture was hard to get out of with having a pectoral flip done. The bathroom was difficult with everything being so low to the ground. I know it is not the property owner just would have been nice to know before renting. “My husband is disabled and we don't get to get out much this little cabin was just what we needed we sat outside on the porch early morning watching the dark turn into light the sound of the water trees whistling in the wind the Canadian geese were beautiful cabin was so clean and nicely kept and the host was prompt with everything we needed I definitely found our favorite place thanks for making our 29th anniversary a memorable trip ”

“The best part for us was the quiet, privacy, and view that allowed us to relax. The cute cabin was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of linens and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked. The two porches had an amazing view. The walk down to the lake on the well-constructed stairs and landings to the dock was a hidden gem. We even caught some fish and would like to return again.”

“My stay was all I hoped it would be. Peaceful, good weather, quiet except for the occasional cow moo and the distant laughter of children playing across the river. Saw different kinds of wildlife, beaver, turtles, ducks and deer. And to the lady across the river who was singing, you have a beautiful voice! ”

“House is beautiful and view of lake is exceptional. Lake still has wood floating around from the Hurricane. We had a lot of rain during our stay but was still able to spend time out on our boats. Only complaint is the house is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. Lots of dust and debris on floors and window seals. Would stay again if cleaned better. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we really enjoyed the beauty.. ”
