“This is a beautiful, large house designed and constructed in the 1930s for a wealthy Hilo family. The main interiors are dark wood, with original custom bannisters and similar craftsmanship, and the furnishings are period-correct. The present owners have upgraded in various ways, including adding in-room air conditioning (we didn't need, but it was nice to have the option), retrofitted bathrooms, kitchen, wiring, and similar.
